Bill Tucker is an employment and civil rights attorney who has more than 30 years of experience helping people who have had their rights violated by their employer, their school, the government, and private businesses.
Bill takes time to understand his clients’ needs, and to counsel them candidly so that they can make decisions with confidence. Bill is also a referral attorney for the National Women’s Law Center and has been trained in trauma-informed practices that assist clients throughout the entire legal process.
Bill’s knowledge of civil rights and employment laws, competitive personality, and professional demeanor help his clients achieve successful results in both the courtroom and at the negotiating table. Bill is a skilled litigator and has decades of experience bringing individual, class, and collective actions in both federal and state courts. He is also a diplomatic negotiator and is adept at putting his clients in favorable positions and creating innovative solutions to resolve their claims. He is known by his peers as a knowledgeable employment lawyer and is the former President and board member of the Virginia Employment Lawyers Association. Bill is also called on by the media and asked to speak by associations or organizations about legal issues. He was recognized as a “Pro Bono Hero” by the Virginia State Bar for his pro bono work on behalf of indigent Virginians.
